Mining & Precious Metals

Responsible extraction, refined to the highest standard.

Overview

From ore body to vault

Blanco Minerals is the group’s first industrial business and remains its cornerstone. What began in 2012 with a single concession in the Andean highlands has grown into a portfolio of three producing assets, two development projects and a precious-metals refinery in Ticino, Switzerland — giving us rare vertical integration from ore body to investment-grade bullion.

We mine for the long term. Every operation is built around a mine plan measured in decades, not quarters: rigorous resource modelling, conservative cut-off grades and closure funds established on day one. That discipline is why our all-in sustaining cost sits comfortably in the lowest quartile of the industry.

Mining & Precious Metals

Exploration & resource development

An in-house geology team of 60 runs systematic drill campaigns across 1,900 km² of concessions in Peru, Botswana and Mongolia, adding an average of 800,000 gold-equivalent ounces to the resource base each year.

Open-pit and underground operations

Our flagship Sierra Dorada complex combines a conventional open pit with an underground sub-level cave, processing 24,000 tonnes of ore per day through a carbon-in-leach circuit commissioned in 2021.

Refining & responsible sourcing

The Ticino refinery processes doré from our own mines alongside certified third-party feed, producing 999.9 fine gold under a chain-of-custody programme audited annually against OECD due-diligence guidance.

Portfolio

Key operations

Arequipa Region, Peru

Sierra Dorada Complex

265,000 oz Au / year

Our largest asset: an integrated open-pit and underground gold-copper operation with a 14-year reserve life and a dedicated 38 MW solar plant covering a third of site power demand.

Ghanzi District, Botswana

Kalahari Ridge

86,000 t Cu / year

A sediment-hosted copper mine commissioned in 2019, producing LME Grade A cathode on site and employing over 1,100 people, 94% of them Botswanan nationals.

Ömnögovi Province, Mongolia

Altan Uul Project

Feasibility stage

A copper-gold porphyry discovery with a maiden resource of 3.1 Moz gold-equivalent. The definitive feasibility study is due in 2027, with first production targeted for 2030.
